SOS Animal Rescue Launched Shoe Collection Drive to Raise money for Saving Animals
All kinds of footwear is welcome:
- Sneakers
- clogs
- dress shoes
- dress boots
- snow boots
- sports wear
- flip flops, etc.
If you are interested in collecting at a church, school, youth program, scouts, or with any other group give us a call at 989-492-0042. We can give you bags or boxes to collect with and will even pick it all up at the end of your collection drive. Keep us in mind for your rummage sale leftovers, too.
All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain, and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe, and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.
By donating shoes to SOS Animal Rescue, the landfills will be less full, the shoes will be given a second chance, and the shoes will make a difference in people’s lives.

- 2016 shoe drive 2,100 pairs
- 2020 shoe drive 2,800 pairs
