Happy Tails We adopted our cat, Daisy when we lost our dog to cancer a year and a half ago. My son has autism and he needed a quick pet “replacement” until we could get another service dog for him that fit his needs. I never thought we would love a cat but we can’t imagine our lives without Daisy. We now have Twingo, our son’s service dog, a golden retriever, and he, Daisy, and our son are the best of friends. Thanks to SOS Animal Rescue. You did a great thing for our family. Daisy provided a lot of love, comfort, and friendship to my autistic son when he needed it most. We adopted Archie a few months ago and we love him! He adapted so well. Thank you, SOS for saving Archie for us. He is the 3rd cat I have adopted from SOS. Millie seems to be adjusting quite well. I am so happy we decided to adopt her. It has been a little over a year since we adopted Simba (aka Bronson) and he had grown up to be a very handsome man. We love him so much! Dorothy was adopted by a wonderful family after a few tries. She has separation anxiety so it took a special home to love her and work on her issues. We think the picture says it all. They are waiting for Dad to come home. Thank you for adopting Dorothy. Merry 2nd Christmas to Sonny in his forever home. Thanks SOS! For Christmas, Santa is bringing him his own box of straws, so he will stop stealing ours! Sophie & Gracie aka Polka Dot & Cookie will be turning 2 on June 10th. We adopted these two last year without petting them, without holding them. We just knew they belonged in our home together. They are so sweet and full of character. We are so happy to have them with us! Thanks Julie. What you do for animals is amazing! Thank You SOS, the cat we adopted yesterday is doing fine and seems to have taken to our home real well. We renamed her Catniss Everdeen (From Hunger Games), I just call her Miss Everdeen! Again Thank you, I believe even after one day this adoption was a good thing for us and Miss Everdeen. Yesterday was the year anniversary of my family adopting Kitkat (AKA Stephanie) As you can see she is my sleeping buddy. I love her dearly and am so blessed to have her. Life hasn’t always been fair to Sunny. Neglected and abandoned, she was found and rescued by SOS. Terribly thin and malnourished, SOS started to help her heal. Though she wasn’t ready for adoption, volunteers took her to an adoption event at Petsmart on Tittabawasee Rd. in Saginaw. She was only there to socialize, but we fell in love and adopted her. With the help of our Dalmatian Jezebel, we helped her become one of the most loving and affectionate parts of our family. Unfortunately our family broke up a few years later. Sunny was devastated when Mom left but she stayed with me and Jezebel and eventually we found someone new. Sunny took to her immediately and for a while everything was great. And then Diabetes took Jezebel. Again, Sunny was destroyed by the loss of another family member. She never left the couch except to eat and go outside. But we were still there for her and we mourned together. Even so, she was miserable being the sole dog. We adopted another dog, a Coonhound Doberman mix, and though it took her a few weeks, she became fast friends with Loki. Once again, Sunny is the most loving and affectionate dog I’ve ever seen. Despite all that’s happened I couldn’t imagine making it through these hard times without her. As much as we’ve helped her, she’s helped us more. Life hasn’t always been fair to Sunny but seven years and counting in our home taught us all that we can make it through so long as we have each other. Sunshine Marie Hayes will always have a home with me. Q.J. Hayes. No matter what Mr. Davis has to say good morning to his human grandma. Every once in a while we get one back, but it never fails hes a photo bomber and he loves it. Hes doing great went to the vet and they said he is in perfect health. Weeble and Tippy were two kittens with Cerebral Hypoplasia. It is a condition that affects their balance. A wonderful home adopted them together. Follow their lives at https://www.facebook.com/weebleandtippy Just hit my 2 year adoption anniversary with Albert (aka Nelson ) from SOS, and 4 months with Cookie a poor stray from work. All 3 of us happy and healthy. Time for an update on Bubba. If you remember he has muscle deterioration on his hind legs but he is doing fantastic. We bought him a pool which he loves and it helps him exercise his muscles. He now has a wagon that he rides in and he is very spoiled with car rides and wagon rides. We know that eventually we will have to get him wheels to help him walk but we are prepared for this. I am sending an updated picture of him and would like to again thank you for letting us adopt this very loving fur any. Oliver Zane came to live with us on May 19th. I think he’s adjusting very well and LOVES his doggie “Sister”! Thanks so much for helping us find our new family member!!!! Just wanted to write you a quick note to let you know that sweet Pitiful Pearl is doing incredibly well, and is adored by our whole family. We re-named her Piper, because we wanted a new, happy name to correspond with this new, happy chapter of her life. My daughter Julia could not believe her eyes when she opened the box and a beautiful Kitty popped out. She has dutifully fed, watered and loved her up, and even cleaned her litter box with joy and enthusiasm! It truly is a love story between those two. Piper has been such an incredible addition to our family, and we feel so lucky to have the opportunity to spoil her for the rest of her life! Thanks for all you do, and for allowing this sweet baby to stay alive and well long enough to find us. We will always be so very grateful. Just wanted to share this pic with you. He fits right in and has definitely become the boss! This is Ella (known as Ella 2 when she was with you guys). We adopted her in late September after seeing her at the Saginaw PetSmart.
